Why did you join aKDPhi?

I joined aKDPhi because I was seeking another community on campus that could openly welcome me and empower my growth. Seeing that there were so many sxsters who are such strong, bold, and empowering leaders made me want to join the sorority even more. Being surrounded by such womxn have allowed me to grow as well as help others grow. I'm thankful for our sxsterhood, our leadership opportunities, and the strong womxn that I surround myself with.

How has your time in aKDPhi helped/improved/challenged you?

My time in aKDPhi has challenged me in a way to be a better leader. Prior to joining aKDPhi, I already had such a strong and bold personality. Although that was something that I was proud of, there were some downfalls to this kind of personality. I recognized how having too strong and too bold of a personality can negatively impact the people I work with. aKDPhi has taught me to learn how to handle myself in a manner that is more careful and more intentional. I appreciate the sxsters that have taught me this.
