Why did you join aKDPhi?
I chose aKDPhi because I love the close bond that sisters have, the memories that they laugh about, and the determination they have to achieve their goals. When I was a freshman, I had no idea what I was doing and how to get to where I wanted to be, but after hearing about how aKDPhi helped so many sisters grow professionally and personally, I knew that this is where I wanted to be. aKDPhi has given me so many opportunities and pushed me out of my comfort zone, in order for me to grow into the empowered woman I am today. I am forever grateful for the lifelong relationships I have created.
How has your time in aKDPhi helped/improved/challenged you?
aKDPhi has provided me a platform to hold a leadership position in an organization that is working to improve our campus's inclusivity. This has challenged me to be more aware of our campus climate and injustices happening in society. It has also helped improve my leadership skills and taught me how to preplan and be efficient with my time.
