Why did you join aKDPhi?

Coming to Wisconsin for college was very difficult for me to adapt to at the beginning. I was constantly homesick and the main reason why that happened was because I didn't find myself fitting into any communities. However, this was all resolved after becoming a sister of aKDPhi. Not only that, being a part of aKDPhi has made me develop my professional skills and I am continuously growing into a person that I am proud of. aKDPhi has also sparked my interest in learning more about different Asian American cultures as well as igniting my passion to educate myself and spread awareness about our philanthropy- which is breast cancer awareness.

How has your time in aKDPhi helped/improved/challenged you?

aKDPHi has aided me in learning some professional skills that I will use in my future career such as time management, communication skills, but most importantly, leadership skills. aKDPhi also made it possible for me to get out of my comfort zone and speak my mind more.

Positions Held in aKDPhi: Sisterhood Co-Chair, Rush Co-Chair, Fundraising Co-Chair, Historian, Secretary, VP - Service Committee
