Why did you join aKDPhi?
I joined aKDPhi for the sisterhood. I only grew up with brothers so I'm not used to having sisters around me so I really wanted to have those bonds in my life. I also didn't know a lot of people my first semester of college and was too scared to put myself out there. It wasn't until I attended some events at the end of Fall 2019 where I met a bunch of aKDPhi sisters that I knew I wanted to rush. They were all so supportive of one another and just seeing them at those events made me really want a sisterhood that will always have my back.
How has your time in aKDPhi helped/improved/challenged you?
aKDPhi has really challenged me to put myself out there and speak for myself. I used to dislike social gathering and meeting new people but now I really enjoy meeting new people and I'm able to make conversations without being too shy about it.
