Why did you join aKDPhi?
During my freshman year I struggled a lot with my identity and finding a community fit for me. I got to know some sisters through VSA and they introduced me to aKDPhi. aKDPhi made me feel heard and comfortable in my own skin. They were the community I was looking for when I felt alone in high school and coming into college. aKDPhi is the community that I can see and be myself in for the long run.
How has your time in aKDPhi helped/improved/challenged you?
aKDPhi helped me find who I am as a person. They helped me fall in love with myself and my culture. Not only that, but the community that I am surrounded by, helped me build my self esteem and my confidence.
Positions Held in aKDPhi: Asian Awareness Co-Chair, Historian
Affiliates & Positions Held: Hmong American Student Association, Vietnamese Student Association, and CAE
