One thing on your bucket list: Travel to the 7 Wonders of the world.
What I Enjoy: I enjoy watching anime, reading in my free time, being around my friends and sxsters, specifically my littles. I also enjoy the sunlight in the spring/summer time and summer on the terrace.
What I Aspire: I aspire to become a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant. I do want to give back to my underrepresented community and also specifically back to my Hmong community. I really enjoy learning about cancers and would someday really love to give some of that knowledge back to those who need it.
Why did you join aKDPhi?
I joined aKDPhi for the business aspect and for leadership growth, but out of that gained Sxsterhood. I was someone who struggled to maintain solid relationships and I really spread myself thin for people. I now have a solid group of womxn who inspire me, push me and love me for who I am. They accept the good and bad, and I no longer have to worry about being alone again.
How has your time in aKDPhi helped/improved/challenged you?
aKDPhi has helped me in so many aspects. It has provided me with an outlet to grow my leadership skills and also learn and grow my knowledge in my Asian culture/roots. I couldn’t be the advocate I am for Asian/Asian-American womxn without my sxsters. I have also learned so much about professional development and, through the help of my alumnae, I have learned how to utilize those professional skills to my best ability and have even used them in my most recent interviews for post-graduate plans.
